  • Recycling Pickup – 7th Period Thursdays
    Attention all Freeman faculty: Every Thursday, the Freeman Project collects recycling. If you need your recycling bin emptied, please leave your bin outside of your room during seventh period. This way, we can empty it without disturbing your class. If your bin is overflowing before Thursday, we can pick it up earlier as long as you let Mr. Robjent know by email before seventh period.

    Did you know that voodoo is recognized as an official religion in Haiti? Or that Haiti’s official languages are French and Haitian Creole? What about the fact that only 53% of Haiti’s population can read and write? Tomorrow is the last day to donate school school supplies in the library and front office to improve Haiti’s education!     Attention pizza lovers! The Freeman Project is excited to announce its partnership with Apollo’s Pizza. If you visit The Freeman Project website linked on the Rebel Hub, and click the Fundit icon, you can buy a voucher for a pizza, cal zone, or stromboli. The profit of your order will be split between The Freeman Project and Apollo’s. The fundraiser lasts from September 22 through December 21.

    Attention Seniors: The Yearbook Staff will be collecting Senior Portraits through Friday, November 16th. Please come to Room 205 and turn in any portraits you have taken through an outside photographer. If you took them through Strawbridge Studios, you should have received proofs by now and instructions on how to pick your portrait.

  • Freeman Project Pizza Fundraiser
    Attention pizza lovers! The Freeman Project is excited to announce its partnership with Apollo’s Pizza. If you visit The Freeman Project website linked on the Rebel Hub, and click the Fundit icon, you can buy a voucher for a pizza, cal zone, or stromboli. The profit of your order will be split between The Freeman Project and Apollo’s. The fundraiser lasts from September 22 through December 21.
  • Yearbook
    Attention Seniors: The Yearbook Staff will be collecting Senior Portraits through Friday, November 16th. Please come to Room 205 and turn in any portraits you have taken through an outside photographer. If you took them through Strawbridge Studios, you should have received proofs by now and instructions on how to pick your portrait.
    If you would like to purchase your Senior Class photo, please come to Room 205 to pick up a form. They are $15.00.
  • Makeup Picture Day
    Attention Underclassmen: If you did not get your picture taken please come to Room 205 during your 4th period study block to get a pass for makeup picture day. Makeup picture day will be taking place on November 16th. Please make an effort to get your pass prior to November 14th.
  • Locker Painting
    Do you want to show off your creativity, your artistic ability, or leave a lasting imprint on our school? Well, now you can! Adopt a locker for only $5 during C and D lunches and paint one between the Main Hall and Green Acres!
  • Yearbook
    Attention Seniors:
    Senior Portraits taken by an outside photographer (not Strawbridge) are due by Friday, November 16th, 2018. Bring your CD or USB to room 205.
    If your senior picture was taken by Strawbridge, the deadline to select your picture for the yearbook is also November 16th. Directions on how to select are on your proofs.
  • Powderpuff
    Announcement text: Attention ladies! Female students in grades 9-12 interested in signing up for powderpuff must get a permission slip from Mrs. Arnold in room 205. The game will be held November 20th during 4th period. The price to play is $20. You must have your permission slip and $20 submitted to Mrs. Arnold by November 14th.
  • Henrico Christmas Mother Canned Food Drive
    The Henrico Christmas Mother Canned Food Drive kicks off Monday through November 29th. Which class has the most heart and can bring in the most items? Will it be freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors? Items of need are canned goods, cookies, crackers, cereal, pasta, and peanut butter. Drop items off in the Teacher’s Cafeteria any morning between 8:15 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. The class which donates the most items wins a 4th period party with music, desserts, door prizes, and more. Let’s help Henrico families in need!
  • French NHS School Supply Drive
    The French National Honor Society is collecting school supplies for four Haitian schools in Port au Prince in partnership with Youth Outreach Ministries! Please help us promote education and Francophone culture by donating new school supplies from Tuesday, November 13 to Tuesday, November 20. There is a donation box in the Library and in the front office. New supplies only, including blue, black, and red pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, crayola crayons, crayola markers, rulers, composition notebooks, hand sanitizer, and construction paper. See schoology for a complete list of needed supplies. Let’s help improve education around the world!

    PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK
    A mystery by Laura Annawyn Shamas

    • Synopsis: “For a group of Australian schoolgirls, a romantic Valentine’s Day outing in 1900 ends in an intriguing mystery. What has happened to the three seniors and the mathematics teacher on top of the jagged peaks of Hanging Rock? Based on Lady Joan Lindsay’s runaway bestseller- also the source of the acclaimed Peter Weir film-this exciting play explores a baffling disappearance that takes its toll on a small community in the Australian countryside.”
    • November 15, 16 & 17. 7:30 pm Curtain.
    • Douglas Freeman Auditorium. Tickets are $10.00 in advance or $12.00 at the door.
      Tickets on sale today before school and during all lunches in front of the auditorium.
