  • NAHS Ceiling Tile Fundraiser
    The National Art Honors Society is offering their talents to teachers. You can purchase custom ceiling tiles 1 for $10 or 3 for $20. Proceeds will fund the NAHS sculpture garden project.
  • FCCLA Meeting
    There will be an FCCLA Meeting on Friday, Feb. 8th at 8:30 am in room 128.
  • Seal of Bi-Literacy
    Seal of Bi-Literacy: Do you study or know more than one language? If you are interested in getting the Seal of Bi-Literacy on your diploma when you graduate, you can take a test this spring to earn the seal. Download the document in the Freeman Rebels group on Schoology for more information. See Mrs. Reilly (Rm 175) or your World Language Teacher with any questions.

  • Yearbook
    Attention any student interested in joining the 2019-2020 yearbook staff: applications are available outside of Room 205. The Historian staff will be collecting applications and all supplemental materials until Friday, February 15th.

  • Senior Night
    The Varsity Basketball Games on Tuesday against Thomas Jefferson will be the evening we celebrate our senior players. The Theme for the game is “A Senior Moment” and to try and get as large a crowd as possible to honor these players – the game will be NO CHARGE! That’s right – FREE! Hope to see everyone there as these players play in Parpart Pavillion for their LAST Regular season Game!

  • Gymnastics team – Coach Sharon Kelly
    Congratulations to the gymnastics team for their great season this year. A special congratulations to Isabella C. for placing fourth in the entire Region in Vaulting on Saturday. She will be representing Freeman at the VHSL State Gymnastics Meet in Virginia Beach on February 16. Good Luck Isabella!
    Hope to see everybody at Regency Square Tuesday, February 5th from 5 to 9pm for our fundraiser!

    If you are planning to seek admission to NHS this Spring, your 30 hours of community service MUST be submitted by February 1, 2019. The form for submitting these hours can be found at https://www.rebelhub.us/community-service.
    If you have already submitted community service hours, please be on the lookout for an email from me (jkciokan@henrico.k12.va.us). This email will let you know your current total # of hours. These emails should be going out before Monday, 1/28/19.
    More information on NHS applications will be made available once semester grades and class ranks have been calculated.

    Are you interested in helping children in our community? Litworld Teen Advocacy promotes reading and distributes books to local kids. Attend our meeting Jan. 31 at 8:30am in the library balcony to find out how you can participate and earn community service hours.

  • Gymnastics
    Congratulations to the gymnastics team for their win over Varina last night and for tying Lee Davis with a season high score of 138.15. This brings their regular season record to 10 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie.
    The following girls place in their events:

    • Cameron M received 1 first place, 2 second places, 1 fourth place and 1 fifth place.
    • Lacy F received 1 second place, 2 third places, and 2 fourth places.
    • Meredith H received 1 third place and 1 sixth place.
    • Isabella C received 1 fourth place and 3 fifth places.
    • Sydney G received 1 sixth place.

    Congratulations to Cameron M and Sallie C for completing their fourth season on the Varsity Gymnastics Team!!
    The girls will have their Regional meet on Saturday, February 2 at Deep Run High School. The meet starts at 10:00am.

  • Rivals Unite for Change
    Rivals Unite for Change- Freeman/Godwin week is next week! To start off the week on Monday, January 28th we will hold a spirit night at the Chipotle outside of Regency. All proceeds will benefit the Freeman Fund. Stop by between 4- 8 p.m. and be sure to tell the cashier you are a Freeman student.
