"She's incredibly patient, always taking the time to explain concepts until everyone understands, no matter how long it takes. She's also so kind, making sure that every student feels comfortable and supported in her class. If I ever need extra help, she goes out of her way to come in early and offer assistance, showing how much she truly cares about our success. What's even more incredible is that she lets students come during study hall to get additional help, which makes a huge difference when we're struggling. She’s always ready to listen and help with anything, whether it's a question about homework or a tricky concept in class. Overall, she’s not only a great teacher but someone who genuinely cares about her students' growth and that makes her so special.

"At the beginning of the year, I was really struggling in math. I was putting in my best effort, but I still needed some extra help. That’s when she stepped in and worked with me to create a personalized plan to help me succeed. Since then, I’ve made it a habit to attend her study hall the day before every assessment, as well as the morning of, to ensure I’m fully prepared. What truly sets her apart is how understanding she is. She never makes me feel bad if I didn’t get something in a lesson. Instead, she patiently finds new ways to explain the concept until I understand. Her dedication and support have made a world of difference in my confidence and performance in math.

Thank you for all you do, Kathryn Pike, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
